Honduras 2017

Here's an overview of my time in La Ceiba, Honduras from earlier this summer! It was an amazing trip but I only have a few photos and video clips to share because I was simply too excited to be there and too busy getting to know my team and the children that we got to work with throughout the city. It was definitely a trip in which God began shaping me and building me as a missionary even in this extremely short time that I was allowed to be there He showed me how to overcome myself. When I say that I'm talking about the parts of myself that didn't want to be in Honduras, the parts that told me to go back home and stick to what I know, or to hang in the back and let the others take on the lead roles.

"For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,
Do not fear I will help you."Isaiah 41:13

But instead of letting me sit back and watch, God forced me to get up and do things that I'd never done before. Like speaking during the message portion of one of our programs (with less than 10 minutes notice beforehand), or getting to know the nationals (our guides) more than I had gotten to know any of our nationals before. Even better God once again reaffirmed my calling to be a missionary, not because I needed to hear it or because I was confused about my calling, He simply has given me a passion and a heart to work with the people of Latin America specifically people who would of never before been reached with the gospel. I am so excited for this calling He's given me and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
